Beginner Surfing: Where it all starts!

Surfing with Goodwinds is always about having fun. Dorado has an inner bay that is protected by an outer reef, which provides small waves for total beginners.

By joining our beginner surfing lessons, students of all ages will improve their surfing skills at their own pace. Not only do we provide an enjoyable time while taking the lessons, but we also strive to build our student’s water and surfing confidence through our classes.

From the first lesson, we will teach you how to choose the right surfboard, how to lay on the board for the first time, then how to recognize the best balance point. The paddling technique is the next thing you will try to conquer and maintaining the speed to be stable once on the wave.

Beyond the shore:

Once the basic techniques are mastered, our students looking for the next challenge, can progress to the waves that are closer to the outer reef with one of the Goodwinds instructors.
